About Me
I studied Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town and graduated in 2015. I then did my community service year in Kuruman, a small town in the Northern Cape. I then stayed in the Northern Cape for a few years to gain experience in the private sector, both in and out of hospital. I moved back to Cape Town in 2019 and worked for many years in an out-patient practice. I then went on to open my own practice in Panorama.
My practice doors opened in May 2024. Majority of my experience is in musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries but I also have a particular interest in lung disorders and post-operative rehabilitation. I also do home visits in the area and am able to claim from medical aids. In my free time, I enjoy exercising and spending time with my family. Being from a Portuguese family and having married into an Afrikaans one, it is not wrong to assume that most of my weekends are spent around a braai!
Our Services
What I Do
Out-patient Physiotherapy services. Research-based treatments for sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, lung conditions, post-operative conditions, headaches and sinusitis. I also do home visits in the Panorama, Monte Vista, Plattekloof Glen, Welgelegen and Plattekloof areas.
Treatment modalities used: soft tissue release, dry needling, peripheral and spinal joint mobilisations, taping, electrotherapy (interferential, TENS, ultrasound), exercise prescription for rehabilitation, nebulisation and respiratory rehabilitation, lymph drainage massage, sports massage.
